Why we exist

Plugging the Gaps

The Demographic Gap

The student landscape at Oxford and Cambridge needs to become more diverse. The underrepresentation of individuals from less privileged socio-economic backgrounds is a serious problem.

We are a new part of a national movement for change to improve access to higher education for disadvantaged students.

The information Gap

Honest and well-timed information can go a long way to build confidence and empower prospective students through the infamously challenging Oxbridge admissions process.

Through our Information Hub and unique collection of academic articles, we help students to plug gaps in their knowledge in every aspect of the application process.

OUr Mission

Guiding students into Oxford and Cambridge, one step at a time, for free.

Eliminating Obstacles

@theoxbridgelaunchpad (2).png

Landing a place at Oxbridge requires strategic thinking and dedication. We help students jump through the hoops and overcome challenges along the journey.

We are re-engineering the landscape of higher education to ensure that access to Oxford and Cambridge is not determined by where you come from in life, but instead, your raw academic potential.

Building Confidence

@theoxbridgelaunchpad (3).png

Applying to Oxford and Cambridge may appear a deeply intimidating, Herculean task with serious challenges. We're here to prove to you otherwise.

With our thoughtful, honest and personalised guidance, we'll supercharge your confidence and help you secure the place that you deserve.

I’m really excited to be President of TOL this year! I’ve worked with TOL for over a year now as both a mentor and a summer programme coordinator. As someone who is particularly passionate about access work, I want to help as many students as possible gain confidence in their own academic potential and demystify the Oxbridge world for applicants. TOL helped me as an applicant achieve a place to study at Cambridge and I hope to give back and help many more do the same!

Hi, I'm Luca and I'm in my third year of studying History at Oxford. I've really enjoyed my time at Oxford so far, but I know that coming from a state-school background the application process can feel very daunting and overwhelming. Oxbridge really is a great place not only to study but to have fun (yes, we do have fun) and as Vice-President, I hope to help demystify the application process and get more state-school students confident with the application process!

Hi, my name is Emmie, and I am  the HR Director for this year’s TOL committee. Having been both a mentee and a mentor in the past, I know how important the relationship is, and how much of an amazing experience it is for both parties involved. I hope that by working with the committee this year, I can inspire so many more students to give mentoring a go, and help the Oxbridge Launchpad grow into a wonderful community!

Hi! I'm Heather and I'm a second year History student at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. I'm originally from Cornwall and have loved my time at Cambridge so far, therefore I would love to help others get here! At A level I studied History, Religious Studies and Maths, and since studying at Cambridge I have found a particular interest in 20th Century US history. Outside of academics I love spending time with friends in my college bar and playing netball. I am looking forward to working at The Oxbridge Launchpad this year as it means I get to combine both my passion for my subject and for access!

Hi, I’m Matthew and I’m third year philosophy student at Jesus College, Cambridge. I have absolutely loved my time at Cambridge. But I am all too aware that for many state school students – including myself at one point – the idea of applying to Cambridge (never mind getting in!) is extremely daunting. That’s why I joined the Oxbridge Launchpad as a mentor, and now as Corporate Director. As a mentor, and once a mentee, I have seen the power that mentoring has to propel a state school student into Oxbridge. And in my role, I hope to aid as many of those students as possible, by way of providing funding and corporate partnerships for the Oxbridge Launchpad!

Hi, I'm Maddy-Rose! I am a third year Historian at Newnham College, Cambridge. I am super excited to spend my second year on the Oxbridge Launchpad committee. Coming from a rural comprehensive school in Cornwall, my cohorts knowledge of, and participation in access schemes was near zero. The opportunity to reach a wider audience and demographic of students through TOL is so valuable. I hope to reach more students who are missing support through the the Oxbridge application process.
